For an event to be brand new in 1998 and go on to win SCCA's ClubRally of the Year in 1999, is really quite amazing. Greg and I would just like to thank the rally community for this award.
When Greg and I originally talked about putting a new performance rally on in New York state, everyone told us that you can't have a performance rally in New York. Well, now there's a performance rally in New York state! Our goal then, as it continues to be now, is to put on a FUN, laid back, "drivers" event (since we are both drivers) with the emphasis on FUN. We believe we have achieved that.
Most of the credit needs to go to Greg. He had enough gall to just start calling townships and asking for a list of dirt roads that they had under their control and present them the idea that we had and what we could offer - Tourism Dollars.
Of course, the event would not have been possible without a lot of input and assistance from everyone involved, and we would just like to take a minute and try to list them all (without misspelling too many names). If we missed you, our apologies:
