MICHELIN SCCA ProRally
APRIL 9 & 10
THE DOO WOP SERIES: (T.D.W.S.) A SCCA ClubRally series, began in 1988 to provide the beginner and experienced rallyists pure stage format Rallies that encompass the refinements of a National Rally. TDWS is conducted on the same roads used for National and International Rallies.
TDWS consists of four events: two co-efficient 1 and two co-efficient 2 events, totaling 150 to 200 stage miles.
Come for TDWS and leave your car for the "Wild West" MICHELIN SCCA ProRally, a combination day and night National Rally held on challenging roads of Simpson Timber Co. Following the "Wild West", it is a short wait and a quick hop down the coast to the "Rim of the World" MICHELIN SCCA ProRally, an inexpensive way to get the ultimate in Rallying! We will store your car and service rigs until "Rim"!
EVENTS: TDWS is sanctioned and organized by the NW Region of the SCCA, and is organized by Rage Racing. The events qualify for the 1999 ClubRally Championships for Drivers and Co-drivers, and the 1999 NW Region Rally Championship. Doo-Wops III & IV, combined, qualify as a 60% National event for the awarding of 1999 championship points. These events adhere to the SCCA National and ClubRally Rules and Supplements thereto. TDWS consists of four (4) separate events.
ENTRY: Entry to the event requires: prepaid entry fee, valid state drivers license, valid SCCA membership, valid SCCA ClubRally or National ProRally license for driver and co-driver, proof of vehicle liability insurance (service vehicles also) and valid vehicle registration. Entry fee for each weekend is $185.00 for ClubRally entrants, and $195.00 for National entrants. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON DAY OF EVENT! Make checks payable to: Rage Racing. Send checks and READABLE, NEATLY completed entry form to: 794 Geissler Rd, Montesano, WA 98563.
CLASSES: Regional classes will be grouped into 4 classes, # 1, #2, #3, and #4 (lite). If there are less than three entries in a class, entrants will be entered in the next appropriate class as determined by the Divisional Steward and/or Organizer. The class you initially enter (on your entry form) will determine the class in which you will compete for the entire senies. Competitors will be awarded ClubRally Championship points in accordance with current SCCA competition rules. Supplemental instructions will be mailed the first week in February.
AWARDS: Divisional and Regional awards will be presented for each individual rally, and Overall for the series winners. Series winners will be determined using the SCCA point system. Awards will be presented for the National portion (DOO WOP III & IV) in all National classes. GO FOR IT! INFO: CONTACT RAY DAMITIO (360-240-6173)
ACCOMMODATIONS: Events have no "headquarters" facility. Recommendation is Motel 6 in Tumwater, rate is 2 pp/room, $37.79! (360-754-7320)
