FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

"Uh-Oh This is Gonna Hurt Award"

LOS ANGELES, California - Extreme-clothing manufacturer Got Balls Race Wear, which is now the Official Racewear of the Michelin SCCA ProRally Championship, has announced a truly unique contingency program in support of the nine-event series. It singles out for special recognition and financial assistance a team that really could use the help…as a result of its experiences during each ProRally.

Given the tongue-in-cheek name "Uh-Oh This is Gonna Hurt Award," this hard-luck prize recognizes the most noteworthy off-course excursion by a team in each rally. The team designated for the award receives $300. If their "off" is videotaped and makes it onto the Speedvision broadcast or other television coverage of the event, there is a $200 bonus. Existing Got Balls customers receive the award in cash. Other teams receive credit in the same amounts toward the purchase of Got Balls clothing. In the unlikely event that no one has bad luck in an event (ProRallies typically have plenty of wild action) the prize is rolled forward to the next rally.

"This is our first contingency program with SCCA," said company principal John Galletta, "and we're very excited about showing our clothes at these events. ProRallyists race high-end cars and display a lot of guts. That really equates well with our name and image."

The Official Product agreement, along with the "Uh-Oh This is Gonna Hurt Award," is a three-year program. In addition to awards for ProRallyists, it also features an award program for entrants in SCCA ClubRally support-series events. These "Got Balls Hard-Luck Awards" are $100 per event, with a $75 bonus if televised. Year-end awards recognize the best "off" of the season in both ProRally and ClubRally, to the tune of $500 and $200, respectively. Again, cash goes to existing customers, with credit for others.

Got Balls is a six-year-old, Los Angeles-based manufacturer of extreme clothing. Until now, the company has been best known for custom corporate clothing for the movie, music and automotive industries, producing apparel for racers, movies and celebrities such as Coolio. However, last year, partly in response to long-time racing fan and rap star Coolio, the company moved into a new fashion area, which Galletta describes as urban racewear. The lineup — which includes shirts, jackets, hats and accessories — features a combination of cutting-edge designs and new or exotic materials not usually seen in the market. However, everything has a race theme and is designed so that it also is appropriate for wear on or off the track. The designs are created to be right at home when worn out at night, which Galletta says many people are doing.

Even though this is Got Balls' first contingency program with the SCCA and is just getting underway, Galletta has already said that Got Balls will be doing other things with the Sports Car Club of America in the future, including the youth-oriented "Speed Freakz" program.
