Park Rapids, Minnesota - The Headwaters ClubRally was determined to make sure that the competitors had to work hard for their wins this weekend in Park Rapids, Minnesota. With stage conditions ranging from gravel to sand to mud, concentration was a key factor in this weekend's event. Mother Nature also helped to give the event a full gambit of weather conditions; wind, rain, snow, overcast, and bright sun were just some of the external conditions the teams had to contend with.

The Headwaters ClubRally event was also doing double duty this weekend as it also hosted the 1999 ClubRally National Invitational event, with the best two teams in each Division for every class of the SCCA National ClubRally program receiving an invitation to this event. The best of the SCCA's ClubRally teams were on hand in Park Rapids this weekend to contest for National honors during the Headwaters ClubRally event.

1999 National ClubRally Invitational Champions:
--In the Open Class, and taking the event overall win and first in Open class; Todd Jarvey and Richard Faber in a Mitsubishi Galant VR-4.

--In the Group 5 class, first in class and fifth overall, in a Plymouth Arrow, Jeremy Butts and Jonathan Vrzal.

--In the Production GT class, first in class and seventh overall, in a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, Chris Czyzio and Eric Carlson.

--In the Group 2 Class, first in class and twelfth overall, driving a Volkswagen GTI, Douglas Davenport and Leah Davenport.

--In the Production Class, first in class and twenty-first overall, driving a Volkswagen Jetta, Paula Gibeault Chrissy Beavis.
