Final Results

Paris by Night (Coeff 3) and Wanderin' Star (Coeff 2) ran Saturday, June 24, 2000 at Camp Maxey, Texas National Guard, Paris, Texas. The weather started warm and overcast, with the roads still moderately soft from a rather wet past couple of weeks. Clearing skys, a hot sun, sandy soil and a few rallye cars pounding the roads produced noticable dust by midafternoon.
When the wind died toward dusk, the dust put the event on 2 minute intervals and the final planned stage was cancelled (no wind at Maxey means 15 minute intervals might work, or might not).
Dunn/Dunn retired from Wanderin' Star due to a mechanical on the last stage, I don't have details, the car was trailered out. Burrows/Cassidy retired early from Paris By Night due to the driver passing out on stage from the heat. There were no injuries and Karen was recovered by the awards party.
