Dean Fry has been competing in the SCCA's National and Divisional ProRally series in a Subaru since 1988. He currently drives a 1990 Subaru Legacy. Team Fubar is sponsored by Wilkinson's Subaru in Curewnsville, PA. Dean started competing in 4WD off-road events in 1975 and started rallying in 1985.
In 1996 Dean and co-driver Don Kennedy captured the top honors in the Northeast Divisional Series. They finished first in 04 class and overall points. A blown, water ingested motor (as seen on ESPN 2) at Wellsboro in June ruined their chances for a second winning season. With all the bugs worked out of their custom suspension, 1998 promises to be an exciting one.
Dean is 44 years old and lives in Temple, PA. Dean's daughters, Andrea and Salina and his fiancee, Carol Dorman can be found at most of the east coast rallies as workers or service crew.
Dean has an Associate Degree in Forestry from Paul Smith's College and is a building products salesman for Georgia-Pacific Corp.
