Mark A. Williams Mark Williams has 19 years of co-driving experience in
both "blind" and "pace-note" style stage rallies in the United
States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe and
Scandinavia. He has earned an impressive record of 45
podium finishes, 24 wins and 4 series championships from
over 100 event starts in National and WRC events. His
experience and skill have made him a sought after partner by
North American Rally Champions, including United States rally
legend John Buffum, 3-time Canada Champion Tom McGeer,
and 3-time Mexico Champion Gabriel Marin.
Mark's passion for the sport is fueled by successes such as the following:
2000: Leading the Canadian National Championship with Tom McGeer on the Subaru Canada Rally Team with a works prepared Group A Impreza WRX.
1998-2000: Regularly called upon by Hyundai Motorsport to augment their primary U.S. rally entries; sometimes with John Buffum; other times with celebrities for publicity value.
1997-2000: Actively campaigning a 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint in historic rallies around the world.
1995: 1st Overall Caminos del Inca FIA marathon rally in Peru with John Buffum in a Group A Audi quatro S2.
1994: U.S. National Rally 2-Liter Class Champion with Bob Elliott in a Group N VW Golf GTI.
1992: 1st Overall La Carrera Panamericana Mexico FIA historic marathon rally with Dr. Peter Frank in a 1954 Mercury Monterey.
1990: U.S. Divisional Rally Champion with Gary Luke in a Dodge Shelby GLHS.

Mark is also involved in the administrative aspects of rallying as a member of the SCCA Performance Rally Board - the governing body for all stage rally competition in the United States.

With a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, Mark is an information technology strategist and solution architect. His company, InSight Strategy Associates, helps executive decision makers create and realize technology-enabled visions of future operations.

He lives in North Potomac, Maryland, just outside of Washington DC, with his wife and two teenage daughters.
