Started in Las Vegas Region this season by going to a Rallycross and had fun. I was told about the Rim of the World Rally and how challenging it was by Scott Bottomley (SCCA Las Vegas Event Orginizer), so I went home and started fabricating: rollcage, light bar, etc. Thanks to Anderson.
My name is Robert D. Sudhop, Jr. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm 34 years old and have loved cars and racing as far back as I can remember. At the age of 10, I started pumping gas at a gas station and washed windows. I took four years of autoshop, welding and architeture in high school. I have built many cars and trucks including a '65 Mustang,'69 Camaro,'76 Fiat X-1/9,'80 Chevrolet Class 8 pick-up and, of course, my '96 Eclipse. I am a Senior Technician for Mitsubishi Motors and have recently gone to racing full time thanks to my sponsors.
The Car:
1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse (First second generation Eclipse to be rallied as far as I've heard.)
Car Number: 364
Color: Silver
Class: Group 2
I have fabricated my own suspension and run sway-away shocks. The engine is 2.0 liter, soon to be 2.4L.
