DETROIT, MICHIGAN -- The Burmeister Rallysport/Mazda ProRally Team will be traveling westward this week to California for the Hot Import Nights car show in San Mateo. The team will then travel down the coast to compete at the Rim of the World ProRally in Palmdale, CA.
The team is currently leading the Group 2 class for 2 liter/2 wheel drive cars after the first two rounds of competition in the SCCA ProRally Championship. They will skip the third round in Oregon and plan to get back in championship form at the fourth round in Palmdale.
"I'm very excited to come out west!" exclaimed Eric Burmeister, driver of the #42 Mazda Protégé Rally Car. "Hot Import Nights sounds like a lot of fun and Rim will be a new rally for us."
Hot Import Nights celebrates the import racing scene with a car show from 5pm to midnight featuring hard driving music from renowned DJs, beautiful models, and very fast cars.
