Smokehouse Sausage to sponsor Metalmarks Rally Team

Burlington, Vermont -- Metalmarks Rally Team (of Burlington, Vermont) has secured major sponsorship from Smokehouse Sausage of Boston, Massachusetts. Beginning with the Maine Forest ProRally, the Metalmarks Volkswagen Golf IV will prominently carry the Smokehouse Sausage logo. Smokehouse Sausage will also provide samples of their products at upcoming rallies.

"I like rallying, and I'm trying to promote my brother's business," said Smokehouse Sausage spokesman Gregg Nosiglia. "Smokehouse Sausage has earned a good reputation for quality products, but it has been mostly by word of mouth. Putting the name on a rally car will give us good exposure for less money than other forms of advertising. Plus it helps out Chris, who is an excellent driver in a well-prepared car."

"The fans of ProRally are a different breed than those who follow other motorsports," said Metalmarks owner and driver, Chris Havas. "They are more adventuresome, not only in their taste for motorsports entertainment, but in their taste for food as well. When dining out of town most prefer to seek out what's different at a local bistro, than to blindly accept the standardized offerings of a chain restaurant. Likewise, they are more likely to try the unique products of Smokehouse Sausage than to select an off-the-shelf brand when choosing sausage."

Smokehouse Sausage is a small meat packing plant in Boston, started by Dave Nosiglia 25 years ago. When Dave decided to go into the business of making a top quality sausage, he first went to Germany to study the craft, earning certification as a qualified sausage maker after four years of study. Today Smokehouse Sausage makes only the best quality sausage using the best ingredients. Their current product list has over 50 different offerings, made of the choicest pork, beef, chicken, lamb and other meats. Many of the recipes were developed by Dave Nosiglia.
