S1

First Car Due: 11:30 A.M., and again at 3:20 P.M.

From the center of Oquossoc, go EAST toward Rangeley and Route 16.
Turn LEFT onto Route 16 West. Note your mileage.
At 4.6 miles you will pass a sign "Cupsuptic Campground".
In 0.3 miles, turn RIGHT onto Morton Cutoff Road (unpaved).
In 3.2 miles, turn LEFT at a T junction.
In 1.7 miles, turn RIGHT.
In 0.5 miles, bear LEFT at a Y junction.
In 0.6 miles, bear LEFT at another Y junction.
In 0.5 to 0.9 miles, you will encounter a Rally Marshal.
Follow his instructions and park on the side of the road.
Parking is allowed on only ONE side of the road in order to keep a
full lane open for emergency vehicles and competitors.
You must walk along a path about 200 yards to the Spectator Area.
You will NOT be allowed to walk on the stage road.

 

 

S2

First Car Due: 10:30 A.M., and again at 2 P.M.

From the center of Oquossoc, go EAST toward Rangeley and Route 16.
Turn LEFT onto Route 16 West. Note your mileage.
In 15.7 miles, turn LEFT onto Fish Pond Road (unpaved).
(10.8 miles from the junction with Morton Cutoff Road).
In 100 yards there are gravel pits which will allow plenty of parking.
You must walk along a path about 200 yards to the Spectator Area.
There are great spectating locations up on the rocks.
You will NOT be allowed to walk on the stage road.

Also at this location there will be a "spectator bus" which will make
two trips from the above location, into the special stage 1 mile, to an
alternate spectating location.
Those interested must load the bus at 9:30 or 10 A.M. to make the trip.
Once there, you must remain until the last car passes, estimated to be
two hours. You may find this location less congested and better viewing!

Retrace your steps to return to Rumford.
