Donnelly & Mullan Win Ski Sawmill ClubRally

Morris, PA -- The Bronx, New York team of Celsus Donnelly and Kevin Mullan, driving an AWD Eagle Talon in the PGT class, scored a hard fought win over the second place team of Sylvester Stepniewski and Adam Pelc in their Open class Audi Quattro. Nipping at their heals in third overall was the team of Mike Curran and Joe McGirl also driving a PGT Eagle Talon. Drive of the day had to have been the fourth place team of rookie driver Carlos Arrieta, Jr. and first time co-driver Belen Arrieta in an Open class Audi Quattro. Fifth overall was the team of veteran co-driver Lance Smith driving the beautifully prepared Mitsubishi Evo V with Carolyn Bosley making her rally debut.

Winning the Group 5 class was Michael and Rene Villemure in the always popular VW Super Beetle. The Production class honors go to the husband wife team of Ted and Lise Mendham in their Nissan Sentra. First in Group 2 were Padraig Purcell and Patrick McGrath in their Ford Escort. Rounding out the top ten were Dean Fry and Don Kennedy in their Subaru Legacy and John Daubenmier and Stanley Rosen in their immaculate Chevy S10.

The event, held in conjunction with the annual "RallyRight School", was headquartered at the Ski Sawmill Resort near Morris, PA and kicked off the 1999 NEDIV ClubRally Championship.

From its humble roots starting in 1988, "RallyRight" has developed as the premiere stage rally school in the United States. The fast-paced four day curriculum is designed to expose the novice competitor to all aspects of rally racing. Included are performance driving exercises, specialty seminars and a National Licensing program.
