Sullivan County Will Host International Rally New York 2006

On September 22-23, 2006 Sullivan County, New York will once again host the competitors of the US Rally Championship in International Rally New York. The event will begin in Narrowsburg and end in Monticello, and will feature 20 “special stages” (speed tests against the clock). The most important of these will be the “Mighty M Gaming Super Specials at Monticello Raceway” on Saturday afternoon and evening.

Mighty M Gaming Super Specials at Monticello Raceway, 4-7 PM
Finish, fireworks and presentation of awards at Monticello Raceway
Format:20 special stages (races against the clock on closed roads), connected by transit zones (public road sections) where drivers must obey traffic laws.
Cars:Compact sedans and sports cars (ex.- Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer, Volkswagen Golf, Dodge Neon)
Spectating:Specatator points have been set up on some special stages on Friday and Saturday. The primary spectator viewing opportunity will be the Might M Gaming Super Specials at Monticello Raceway on Saturday afternoon and evening. For details see the rally web site, www.RallyNewYork.com.
Sanction:A round of the US Rally Championship (USRC), sanctioned by the United States Auto Club (USAC). All events in this series are listed as international rallies by the Federation International of the Automobile (FIA), the world governing body of motorsports.

Each of the two days is also a round of the New York Rally Championship, organized by Rally New York, Ltd.
