Rally New York 2005 Will Have a Strong Field:

The entries are coming in for Rally New York, which will be held in Sullivan County,
New York on April 16. Over 40 teams have entered, including some of the stars from the
U.S. and overseas: Some of the pre-event favorites are:

Seamus Burke, the Georgia-based Irishman (in a Hyundai Tiburon, with a co-driver to be
named). Burke won the '05 Eastern series opener, the SandBlast Rally in South
Carolina last January, and has been a consistent front-runner in U.S. events.

John Drislane/Ronan Burke from Ireland (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo), second-place
finishers at Rally New York 2004. Drislane also won last November's Rally New York
U.S.A. with a different co-driver.

Liam Egan from Ireland (co-driver to be named; in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo), the fourth-
placed driver at the 2005 SandBlast Rally, and fourth at Rally New York last April.

Tom Lawless of Yonkers, New York and Jason Gillespie of Maspeth, Queens, N.Y.
(Mitsubishi Lancer Evo), winners of the '05 U.S. Rally Championship opener, the
Cherokee Trails rally in Tennessee.

Patrick Lilly/Bernard Farrell of Yonkers, New York (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo), the team
that finished as runners-up in South Carolina, they were also third in last fall's Rally New York U.S.A.

The rally will begin at the Government Center in Monticello, and end at Mr. Willy's
Restaurant just outside of town. In between, it will visit some of the Catskill's most
challenging roads. Teams will be able to perform service on the cars at the Narrowsburg
Camp Ground, although service time will be strictly controlled.
