the Home of Rally New York Events Monticello, New York - The Concord Resort announced that the hotel and the spectacular Fibbers restaurant, the site of Rally New York awards banquets, has been closed and will be demolished. Reservations are being transferred to The Lodge at Rock Hill, three miles east of Monticello on Route 17 - The Quickway. A brand new hotel with 125 rooms and a new restaurant will open at the Concord Resort for the 2007 season. This is a complication for Rally New York organizers but it is also a positive development: This is the start of an extensive development that will result in the availability of thousands of world-class hotel rooms and casinos in Monticello, NY. In a related development, Rally New York, Ltd. reached an agreement with Jefferson Development Partners, LLC, the developer of the Monticello airport, to hold a new tarmac Super Special Stage at the airport together with the central service area. The developer is building a new motorsports facility at the airport that includes a three and a half mile long road racing circuit. The facility will be available for future Rally New York events. This is in addition to the previously used gravel Mighty M Gaming Super Special Stage at Monticello Raceway.
