March 31, 2008 - Local Visibility of Rally New York USA:

Twice a year, Rally New York events bring to the area some 400 competitors, service crews, marshals, radio operators and officials, and an undetermined number of visitors and spectators who all stay for an average of three days.

It has been mentioned to us that we maintain unnecessarily low visibility in Wawarsing and Ellenville. This is partially caused by the fact that the Rally takes place over an area of hundreds of square miles and we do not all congregate in one place.

We therefore request that you wear as much as practical your team clothing or clothing that identifies you as a member of a motorsport team when you go to town and when you visit local restaurants. In addithtion, we ask that you identify yourself as participants in Rally New York USA.

Over one hundred marshals, radio operators and officials have been issued official Rally New York USA T-shirts and bright colored caps with the Rally New York USA logo. We similarly ask marshals, radio operators and officials that they wear this clothing in town as much as practical.

The organizers would appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
