FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE |
AKRON, Ohio - Effective immediately, Wind River Group, Inc., has assumed the duties of official public relations liaison for the Michelin SCCA ProRally Series. Wind River Group is taking over from longtime series representatives Kermish-Geylin Public Relations, of New York. The change is a result of Kermish-Geylin's business growing so rapidly that they felt it would be difficult to continue providing the level of service they wanted for the resurgent series.
During the changeover, Kermish-Geylin and outgoing series representative Andy Schupack have been working closely with Wind River Group to assure as seamless a transition as possible. "I want to thank Andy and (Kermish-Geylin president) Mike Geylin for all of their ongoing help," said Wind River Group president Ed Jacobs. "Even though their contract expired several weeks ago, they have continued handling series business and have been extremely generous with their time in helping us get up to speed."
The Michelin-backed ProRally series is arguably the most challenging racing presented by the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America). Competition takes the form of flat-out racing -- one car at a time, against the clock -- on specially closed forest, desert and mountain roads...day and night, in all weather conditions. The nine events in the series stretch across the country from Washington to Maine, and span all four seasons. The series gets underway Feb. 19 at Atlanta, Mich., with Sno*Drift.
