Long Beach, CA -- The Matco Tools ProRally Team will kick off the 2000 SCCA ProRally season in Atlanta, Michigan on January 29, 2000 at the Sno*Drift ProRally!

After winning the 1999 California Rally Series Performance Stock Class Championship and the SCCA ClubRally Southern Pacific Division Production Class Championship in the Matco Tools Toyota Corolla FX-16, driver Mark Brown of Mesa, Arizona and co-driver Ole Holter of Long Beach, California are very enthusiastic about entering the fray in pursuit of the 2000 Group Two Championship of the SCCA ProRally Series.

Mark has been competing in the SCCA Southern Pacific Division ClubRally Series for the past two years with the Production class Toyota Corolla. The team used the 1999 season to prove the reliability and performance of the stock Toyota in the Production class. Now, after making only minor changes to the Toyota, Mark and Ole are confident that it will be highly competitive in the Group 2 championship series.

At the Sno*Drift ProRally, the first round of the 2000 SCCA ProRally Championship series, a field of 40 cars is expected to do battle on some of Montmorency County's finest twisty, slippery roads covering approximately 120 stage miles. With the knowledge that road conditions can be highly variable in January, Mark and Ole are prepared for deep snow, glare ice, or whatever conditions occur at the start of the race on Saturday morning.
