Two Am Rallysport Plans Aggressive Attack
on Production Sport Championship

Waterloo, Ontario -- Upstart new team, Two AM Rallysport, has announced its intention to compete for the Ontario Performance Rally Championship in the 2000 season.

Two AM Rallysport is a Waterloo based racing team set on winning the Production Sport title for 2000. Rally is the most demanding of motorsports, a season that lasts all year and tight twisty gravel roads are aspects of the Ontario Performance Rally Championship unlike any other form of racing. The Productions Sport class pits real cars (the same kind you mom might drive) against each other in timed competition.

Two AM Rallysport team owner/driver Andrew Miller had this to say about the upcoming season, "We’ve spent a lot of time and energy getting the Two AM Volkswagen Golf ready to go and I can’t wait to get her into competition". When asked why a VW was chosen for Production Sport class when other cars in the class have up to 50% more horsepower, Miller replied, "The VW is ideally suited to rallying, what it lacks in horsepower it more than makes up for in control".

The first event for 2000, Rallye Perce Niege, will be a mighty challenge for the team as it takes place February 11-12 on the snow and ice covered roads around the Ontario-Quebec border. All day and into the night on these "Special Stages" consisting of Forestry roads closed by special permit is new to Miller. "I’ve done most of my performance driving on snow and in the dark so this is a great chance to start the season right and going all out for the rest of the season should net us the championship...that’s the hope anyway".

The Ontario Performance Rally Championship, which consists of 6 events run from February to November, is about the most challenging racing series in Ontario. Teams compete in timed runs over narrow, twisty closed roads at high speeds. Two AM Rallysport competes in the Production Sport class with help from its sponsor AM Innovations Inc.
