Belleview, Washington -- Driving their European Rally School Prepared Ford Focus, Craig Peeper and Ian Bevan continued their improving form with a second in Production Class award at this weekends Oregon Trails Rally.
Washington State resident Craig and his British Journeyman Co Driver Ian battled atrocious weather conditions involving hail, sleet, snow and gallons of rain to stamp their authority on the championship that they now lead.
The event went according to plan except for a major moment in the middle of the event when bad camber and slippery conditions saw them take to the ditch, damaging the cars lower suspension arm and receiving a puncture in the process. However a swift 3 wheeled visit to the service crew saw the damage repaired and only minimal time lost.
The Tilamook based event is well known for its challenging and sometimes rough stages, but no one ever remembers such adverse weather.
The event was won overall by the British crew of Mark Lovell and Steve Turvey driving a works Impreza.
