Guelph, Ontario -- The FOCUS RALLY SPORT TEAM heads to Alberta to continue their quest for the Canadian and North American Rally Championship in the Production 2-wheel drive class.

The FOCUS RALLY SPORT TEAM of Peter Reilly and Ray Felice are planning to impress spectators and competitors alike with their 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 as they compete in the P3 class at the Big Horn Rally in Edson, Alberta and the Rocky Mountain Rally in Calgary, both later this month. The car, the only Ford Focus rally car running in Canada at this time, boasts custom designed Moriss Dampers suspension, Silverstone Rallye Tyres, and other stock components.

The car competed in the Rallye de Quebec in January and finished 4th in class - while running on factory suspension! Driver Peter Reilly plans to push the car to its limit out west - and win. Co-Driver Ray Felice will, all the while, attempt to keep Peter in check and out of trouble in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta.

The Team pulls out of Guelph, Ontario, Canada on May 16 headed for their first stop, the Big Horn Rally in Edson, Alberta. The following weekend, the team will be found in Calgary for the Rocky Mountain Rally. Both events will be televised at a later date on TSN. During the week between the Big Horn and Rocky Mountain rallies, the car will be on display at Woodridge Ford Lincoln in Calgary.

After Rocky Mountain the team will travel across the country to compete in the Susquehannock Trail ProRally (STPR) in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. This extremely challenging event, with all top teams of North America expected to show, will be televised at a later date on SpeedVision.

Reilly and Felice each have about ten years of rally experience, competing as a team since 1996. Back then, the duo won Group 2 in Ontario and 2nd Overall in Ontario. Ray won the Overall Ontario Group 2 Co-Driver championship, while Peter was awarded honours for 3rd Driver. Since then, they have had good success as a team, even while racing in an aging car. Now, equipped with a "factory ordered" custom built vehicle, the FOCUS RALLY SPORT TEAM is bound to be a "Focus to be reckoned with".
