Ozone Park, NEW YORK -- After doing well at Irish Hills Rallysprints a month ago, the team comes back home again with yet another success - second place in Production class at both the Ocoee and Hiwassee Club Rallies run as part of the International Cherokee Trails Rally in Tennessee.
Piotr Motykiewicz co-driven again by Grzegorz Dorman put his Mitsubishi Mirage through a tough contest. Treacherous roads and unforgiving competitors made the event quite challenging. "Great stages. Of course, more horsepower would be appreciated when going up the hills but the twisty rides down were very fine", said Piotr at the finish line.
"Every stage mile and a finished rally helps very much now when the team is gaining experience", added Grzegorz who's planning to do a couple of more events with Piotr this year.
In overall rankings a fierce battle unfolded at the event, with David Higgins in AV Sport prepared Subaru Impreza WRX taking the overall win with just one second on Janusz Kulig in Group N Lancer Evo VI. Kulig competing in less powerful car than Higgins commented on the podium, "I've lost rallies by a couple of seconds in my career, but never by just one. Great rally, but I feel a bit dissatisfied with the result like that".
RT Racing would like to thank Tim O'Neil's crew as well as Polish Rally Group for helping out in servicing the car during the event.
