Stamford, Connecticut -- In what could only be an called an enormous success for the QS Motorsports team, two cars from the Stamford, Ct. rally car fabricator and campaign manager finished well in the Sawmill ClubRally held this past weekend in Morris, Pa.
Running in the Open Class despite having a Group N restrictor plate, Peter Malasuk captured the 2nd overall place, edging out the next competitor by a mere 20/100 of a second. This was a training ride for Peter, as he prepares to return to the region to run STPR in three weeks time.
In Group 2, Paul Balser, running in his 1st rally ever, finished 8th in class and 34th overall. His car, the ex-Chris Havas Golf, was recently repowered and upgraded by QS, and ran perfectly, allowing him and his brother, Novice Chris Balser, to concentrate on the 1st major tenant of Rallying - "finish the race!"
