Waterloo, Ontario -- The Two AM Rallysport team heads to the hills of Alberta this weekend for the first of two back-to-back national events. And this time they're bringing a little more power from a new engine (2 litres up from 1.8) and a new sponsor, Vibrant Performance, to help the team in their push to repeat last year's class win.
The Bighorn Rally starting in Edson Alberta takes place high in the hills of North-western Alberta so the extra 25 Hp available in the Volkswagen's new 2 litre engine will definitely come in handy. "It was time." Said owner/driver Andrew Miller "We'd gone as far as we could and been as competitive as possible with the old 1.8 litre. So with a lot of work and some generous help from sponsors we 100% set." Co-Driver Rebecca Miller was confident, "The car is much faster now. Better response and more top end it's going to be a sweet ride" adding "We've got to thank the generous support of Frisco Auto Parts without them this conversion would have been impossible".
Another major plus in this year's bid is the addition of Vibrant Performance to the sponsor list. As maker's of high end exhaust systems for all kinds of cars Vibrant knows how to get the most power ant the best sound from any car. The addition of a Vibrant exhaust has help the car greatly. "The car used to sound like a Vacuum cleaner and was about as fast," said Vibrant spokesman Dave Hord "Now it' got style and power!"
After a successful winter series the team looks forward to this the first gravel event of the season, with the second, The Rocky Mountain Rally, coming a mere 6 days later in Calgary.
The Subaru Canadian Rally Championship, which consists of 9 events, runs from February to November. Two AM Rallysport competes in the P3 class with help from its sponsors Volkswagen Waterloo, Dave's Tire Discounter, Frisco Auto Parts, Vibrant Performance and AM Innovations Inc.
