Tempe, Arizona, USA -- David Higgins, driving his AV Sport Subaru, won the 2nd round of the SCCA Pro Rally Championship, the Cherokee Trails Rally, over the weekend.

Higgins set a blistering pace in the Pirelli backed car, leading by 1.5 minutes after just two stages, and overcame some heating problems to win the event.

"This was a fantastic result from a private team, especially as all the factory entered cars finished the event," commented a delighted Higgins.

More development is planned for the AV Sport car prior to the next US event, the Oregon Trail Rally, in April.
