Cochrane, Alberta -- RSport Rally and Dragon Optical enter the Bighorn Rally and Rock Mountain Rally. Bighorn will be held this May 17th and 18th in Edson, Alberta. Rocky will be run one week later in Calgary, Alberta on May 23rd and 24th. Both events are part of the Canadian National Rally Championship and the Western Canadian Rally Championship.
Scott Trinder will drive the teams Subaru Impreza 2.5RS in the Production 4 class with first timer Brian Wende in the navigators seat. "I feel totally confident having Brian in the navigators seat, he is cool and composed," says Scott. . "I have never run the Bighorn Rally before and Brian has never navigated in a special stage event before so this will be a learning experience for us both," says Scott. The teamís objectives are quite grounded heading into Bighorn. "We simply want to finish and hopefully gain some points for the championship," says Scott. "I am looking forward to running with Scott. This is kind of like jumping in the deep end as this will be my first event ever and I am doing it with a top driver," says Brian.
RSport Rally driver Scott Trinder won the Western Canadian Rally Championship in 2002. The team currently leads the Production 4 class and sits second overall in the 2003 Western Championship.
RSport Rally just secured a deal with Dragon Optical. "I am ecstatic that Dragon Opticalís support has extended from Knight Motorsports Inc. to include RSport Rally. Bighorn will be the first official rally for RSport Rally with Dragon on board. This deal has come together just in time and I would like to thank everyone at Dragon for their support," says Scott.
