Team R3 has won the Northwest Regional Rally Lite class championship for both the driver and co-driver points. In addition, Team R3 has placed 4th in points for the Divisional U2 class for both driver and co-driver.

These two accomplishments are very satisfying given that this is Team R3's rookie season. When asked how he felt, driver Mark Wilkie just said "...never had so much fun...".

So close, yet so far. Co-driver Brian Fradenburg missed third place in the divisional U2 class by a mere 7 points. "If only we could have found that pesky wire and finished Saturday night..." says Brian, "but hey, can't play the what ifs, we finished strong this season and we'll do better next season." he goes on to say.

For next season, Team R3 is working on putting together a sponsor base that will enable them to build a competitive, top 5, Group 2 car. "We hope to have the car put together and the kinks ironed out by mid 1999" says Darrin Hansen, crew chief.
