Edson, Alberta -- RSport Rally driver Scott Trinder and navigator Brian Wende had a successful weekend at the Bighorn Rally held on May 17/18 2003.
The team won their class in the Western Canadian Rally Championship, giving them a solid lead in the series. The team also won their class in the Canadian National Championship, placed 2nd overall in the Western Canadian Championship, and 5th overall in the entire Canadian National Rally.
"Wow what a weekend, it all fell into place and we accomplished our goals," says Scott. Bighorn was Brian Wende's first special stage rally. "Brian did an awesome job for his first event, it took a few stages for us to get up to speed, but once we did it went very well. I look forward to being able to attack Rocky next week from the first stage, with Brian" says, Scott.
RSport Rally is off to Calgary today to begin preparations for the Rocky Mountain Rally. Rocky is a Canadian National Rally Championship event. "Our goals are the same for Rocky as they were for Bighorn, to finish and to try and maintain a solid footing in the Western Canadian Rally Championship.
RSport Rally would like to thank Dragon Optical for all of their support, and Total Autosport for servicing at the event. Ken, Colin, Peter and Mark, the Total Autosport crew did an awesome job. Thanks everyone, from Scott and Brian.
