CAVE CREEK, Arizona -- Scott Rally Team will tackle the unpredictable trails of the Ojibwe Forests Pro Rally in Bemidji, Minnesota August 22-23 with AV Sport by their side.
AV Sport will provide service to Scott Team for the Ojibwe rally, the seventh of nine national events in the SCCA Pro Rally Championship. The partnership promises to be a win situation for Scott Team.
"Teaming up with AV Sport for the next race in Minnesota is a good move to help get our team where we need to be as the end of the season draws near," said Driver/Owner Brian Scott. "AV Sport has a tremendous amount of experience servicing a rally car without losing time on the clock."
The Ojibwe Rally is a critical event for competitors chasing championship points. The trails winds its way through what is considered some of the best rally roads in the country.
Scott Team placed fifth in the Group 2 Championship in Maine. The team experienced minor problems involving car repairs causing them to lose time on the clock. Despite a great run on Saturday the team had a bad stage on Friday due to a busted rim. The team simply couldn't recover from the time lost on the Friday stage.
"We ran a tough race in Maine so we really need to get back in the game and increase our points standing," said Scott. "Partnering with AV Sport for the remainder of the season could help us stay within the competitive range in the Group 2 Championship."
Scott hopes to have a strong finish in Ojibwe putting the team in a good position going into Wild West.
This is the third season for Scott Team, which includes driver Brian Scott, co-driver Dave Hackett, crew member Ed Hale and AV Sport.
