Salem Missouri -- The Grass Valley California Rally Racing Team of driver Sans Thompson and Co-Driver Craig Marr scored their first win of 2006 in Salem Missouri at the 100 Acre Wood National event February 24-25, 2006, driving their Dodge Neon.
The Jagged Edge team is the 2005 Production Class National Champions and the 2005 Woodner Cup 2 Wheel Drive National Champions.
"We are running toward the 2006 GP2 National Championship and take another shot at the Woodner Cup", states Sans. "We hurt our points pretty much at the event in January so a win here has left us quite happy. For awhile it didn't look like it was going to happen, we made some bad choices in the car set up on Friday and fell quite a bit behind. The crew sorted that out Friday night and we started working at catching back up on Saturday. Robin Jones gave us a good run and toward the end of the rally both of us were driving pretty damaged cars. His finally broke on the next to last stage and we slowed way down and just concentrated on finishing at that point. Its unfortunate that he broke because we were having a ball racing each other".
" We were quite a ways behind at the end of the Friday night stages" brings up Craig "but after the main service on Saturday there was only 1/2 second separating the two teams. Its amazing the abuse this Dodge Neon takes and keeps on running, there was some pretty intense driving going on in both cars, I guess ours was just a bit stronger in the end"
The Jagged Edge Motorsport team wishes to thank Dave Zepnewski, Don Jankowski and Sindi Wagner for their help and support in our 1st win of 2006.
