And the winner is -- David Stone!
David held on to his lead by a slim 10 points over Jim Konkler after trading leads for the past six months.
This months game was on another one of those "weird" events where so many of the teams were not with their normal partners.
I have many fond memories of that event. It was the only stage event ever held in New Jersey, and it also turned out to be the last NARRA event. I remember sitting at the start of stage 13, it started on asphalt and was almost straight for over a mile. I was concerned because by that time I'd lost the use of third gear, and the engine was down on power, also the fact that I had Bill Pichardo starting next with his 400+hp Monza. But I figured we would be OK if we could make it to the dirt before he caught us. We managed to stay ahead on the paved and as we turned onto the dirt and I can remember saying to my co-driver (Bill Reynolds) "we'll loose him in the twisty stuff". Well that only worked until we caught up with Gary Webb, who at this point had no lights! I think Gary was behind another car that was also having problems. That event would have been a great place to have had batteries and alternators for sale.
Jon Woodner lead the rally until he retired on stage 14 with drivetrain problems.
To sum it up, the entry fee was $100.00, the prize fund was $6000.00 (big 1980 dollars), and a good time was had by all!

To get us back on a calendar year schedule, the next six month Trivia game will start with the July edition. I'll post games for the next three months but each month will be have it's own winner (sorry no prizes).

Thank you all for playing Rally Trivia!.
