Minneapolis, MN -- The Rally America National Championship continues a trend of stability and steady growth with nine familiar events for the 2008 season.

As a result of unprecedented media exposure in 2007, interest in the series from prospective competitors, sponsors and manufacturers is at an all-time high. "We expect even more excitement in 2008, with new competitors from both the U.S. and abroad, the competition will be tougher than ever," said J.B. Niday, Managing Director of Rally America. "We are looking forward to the return of fan favorites such as Tanner Foust, Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, Matt Johnson and Andrew Pinker with new cars, and also some new competitors, and new manufacturers becoming involved," says Niday.

Atlanta, MI will once again be the site for the series kick-off in January for the Sno*Drift rally.

In 2008 X Games Rally Car competition invitations will be influenced by performance in the first few events of the season.
