Minneapolis, Minn. -- The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will include about 100 miles of special stages this year - in addition to the famed climb itself.
There is no additional entry fee for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb entrants to join the rally component, but it is limited to Rally America and CARS licensed competitors.
In addition, competition vehicles competing on the special stages are required to have a Rally America, CARS or SCCA log book.
Registration information is available on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb web site (www.ppihc.com). Rally entries will receive additional information directly from Rally America (www.rally-america.com).
The tentative event schedule is as follows:

Registration and Scrutineering
o Thursday, June 23:
Early Morning practice on lower Pikes Peak
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Transit to Hartsel, and Service
1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Approx. 4 - 6 stages covering 50 stage miles
o Friday, June 24:
Early Morning practice on upper Pikes Peak
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Transit to Hartsel, and Service
1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Approx. 4 - 6 stages covering 50 stage miles
o Saturday, June 24:
10 a.m. Pikes Peak Hill Climb
1 p.m. Another run up Pikes Peak, as the final stage of the rally
4 p.m. - Late: Rally America's Pikes Peak party and awards celebration
o Sunday, June 25:
9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Awards Brunch
11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Rally America Organizers' meeting
Unpredictable weather in the Hartsel area has the stage roads under a foot or more of snow at the moment. More details will be released as the stage teams gain access to the roads.
