ATLANTA, MI — Detroit area Mazda dealer, Ralph Thayer Automotive, will host the second running of Sno*Drift’s two-wheel drive challenge called Sno*Attack. Ralph Thayer Mazda is no stranger to motorsport, having sponsored numerous RallyCross events in the region. Ready to step it up in 2011 Ralph Thayer Mazda was more than happy to support two-wheel drive competitors in stage rally. In conjunction with Rally America Store and Team O’Neil Rally School & Car Control Center a total of $5,000 of prize money will be offered in Sno*Attack to be divided between the top five finishers.

The spectator friendly Sno*Attack 2011 will be held at the Lewiston Sand & Gravel in Lewiston, MI. Fans are encouraged to come and visit the Ralph Thayer Mazda’s enclosed and heated hospitality tent overlooking the Super Special stage. Inside you’ll find Mazda’s newest member, the compact and sporty 2011 Mazda2. Stay for music, gaming, or just lounge and enjoy the action out of the cold. Enter to win a Playstation 3 at the door. Admission will be $5.00 per person to the Super Special stage. The action will start around 1:30 pm, Saturday January 29th. Parking will be $10.00 with limited spaces. The 2011 Sno*Drift Rally will kick off a new season of Rally America National Championship starting Friday, January 28. Professional drivers and novices alike face two challenging days on the snow covered roads in northern Michigan. Centered around the communities of Lewiston and Atlanta the rally takes place on the 45th parallel, halfway between the equator and the top of the world. With perfect winter conditions there is no better place to host a snow rally.

During the event look for the 2011 MazdaSpeed3 Green Light vehicle provided by Ralph Thayer Mazda and tuned with aftermarket components from Corksport Mazda Performance.
